Marussia F1 Team Hiring Top Talent through Monster Relationship

The Team has Received Applications through Monster from over 70 Countries To-Date

NEW YORK & ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jun. 26, 2012-- Earlier this year it was announced that the Marussia F1 Team teamed with Monster.com®, the worldwide leader in connecting people to job opportunities and the flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW), to recruit for a variety of permanent roles that influence the technical and commercial success of the team. The Marussia F1 Team is pleased to announce that they have since made ten hires as a result of their work with Monster.

The third of the four global ‘Cool Jobs’ is now available as the team is looking for a Junior Technician who will be based at the team’s technology centre in Banbury, England. This full-time role promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the qualified candidate. The new hire will have the chance to learn all of the core skills necessary to be an F1 technician and to develop the competence and confidence to support the Marussia F1 Team at the track. In addition, the successful candidate will grow into working with the Aerodynamics, Research & Development and Stores teams.

Recent hire, Leon O’Rourke, Gearbox Mechanic said “The thing I was looking forward to the most about starting this with Marussia F1 Team was learning new skills and meeting new people – the job has been interesting and I have been fortunate to be able to travel to races with the team. This is the definition of a ‘Cool Job.’”

Katie Allen, Head of HR, Marussia F1 Team, stated “The alliance with Monster has enabled us to significantly increase our talent reach quickly– we are currently reviewing candidates from 26 countries. As a small F1 team, we’ve used the Talent Management Suite to help us manage our recruitment and resourcing plans in the most professional and efficient way, whilst ensuring that more of our focus can be directed at development activities for the business and our people.”

Ted Gilvar, Executive Vice President, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Monster, noted “We’re thrilled to see the Marussia F1 Team reaching in their hiring goals and to have helped find jobs for these ten fantastic candidates. It's great to see the interest from around the globe.”

In addition to the Junior Technician job, the Marussia F1 Team is planning to launch a search for a 4th global ‘Cool Job’ in late August. The Team is also still hiring for a range of different positions, sourcing talent from across Europe.

About Marussia F1 Team

The Marussia F1 Team is a young and ambitious Anglo-Russian challenger competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

Headquartered at the new Marussia Technical Centre in Banbury, UK, the team is majority-owned by the Russian supercar marque, Marussia, based in Moscow.

With just two seasons of F1 competition under its belt, the team has enjoyed an extraordinary journey. It was founded in 2009, under the Resource Restriction Agreement that has redefined the sport’s commercial landscape, paving the way for exciting new entrants to challenge tradition and expectation. The Marussia F1 Team has been in the vanguard of a new era of Formula One, harnessing the commercial firepower of Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin group of companies, one of its founding partners, to establish an innovative racing team concept for the future.

Technically, the team has experienced the rollercoaster ride that one might expect from the initiation of a young new team into such a tough and highly competitive sport. In only its second season however, with ambitious targets for the future firmly in its sights, the team entered into a long-term technical partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies, which enables the Marussia F1 Team to benefit from access to advanced facilities which are already helping the team produce a competitive racing car for the 2012 season.

As for the team’s longer term ambitions, 2014 will see the introduction of a Russian Grand Prix to the race calendar. It goes without saying that success on home asphalt in the Black Sea resort of Sochi is the end-game for the next exciting phase of the Marussia F1 Team journey.
